Money raised by Zaching Against Cancer Foundation goes not only to scholarships and a cancer research internship at Baylor University, it is also donated directly to cancer organizations.
ZACF has given contributions to Hopkins Oncology Center for cancer research and for the nurse’s incidental fund. The nurses incidental fund is a fund used to help cancer patients at Hopkins who need financial assistance with incidental expenses such as lunch for the family in the cafeteria or a parking token to get out of the parking garage.
In October of 2016 ZACF merged with The Little Things For Cancer. ZACF now helps cancer patients with all sorts of expenses they may be struggling with due to the overwhelming costs of medical care for a long-term illness. They help with gas and electric bills or groceries for example. They also offer get-aways for people on chemo.
