The Little Things for Cancer Partners with Zaching Against Cancer Foundation

Columbia, MD, June 8, 2015 – The Little Things for Cancer (TLT4C) is excited to announce it has entered into a letter of intent to merge with the Zaching Against Cancer Foundation (ZACF) effective June 1, 2015. The new partnership is expected to expand the reach of both organizations and have a greater impact on those affected by cancer.

Bringing the two together is a strong strategic fit, leveraging strengths from both organizations. The ZACF currently provides those affected by cancer with scholarships, funding for college internships for cancer research, direct patient/caregiver funding, and provides critical funds needed for research in hopes of finding a cure for this unforgivable disease. The Little Things for Cancer funds services for the little things we often take for granted. Things such as, but not limited to, meals, transportation, child care, house cleaning, utility assistance and so much more. The benefits of this partnership are that in combining our individual talents, we will be able to strengthen our overall efforts and make a bigger impact on finding a cure while supporting patients and their caregivers during their cancer journey.

Zach Lederer’s mission, from the start, was for everyone battling cancer to enjoy the love of family and the support and services he enjoyed while fighting his battle. “This unification allows us to jointly reach that goal and further expand our reach. The ZACF is extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to form a partnership, with TLT4C, that brings two wonderful organizations together to broaden our reach and impact,” said John Lederer. “We are honored to be joining with Wendy and Larry Letow and their staff to truly help cancer patients in a positive way.”

Upon merging, TLT4C will join the ZACF to engage in providing funding and infrastructure to provide resources, services, scholarships, research funding, internships and more to cancer patients and their caregivers. TLT4C will become a program of the ZACF. Together, the ZACF and TLT4C, will be able to generate more funding from our combined fundraising, development and networking centers while utilizing our combined data, volunteer bases and talents.

“I am so excited to have the opportunity to join forces with the ZACF. The important work that they are doing combined with ours will allow us to touch so many more families affected by cancer while trying to find a cure. I am honored to be a part of Zach’s legacy,” said Wendy Letow, TLT4C’s Executive Director.
