Run with us. Donate. Share. Show Marcie your Tribe is behind her!
In March 2026, Marcie went in for what she thought was a routine mammogram. What followed was a whirlwind no one ever expects.
After additional testing and a biopsy, Marcie received the devastating news on April 17th that she had invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC).
She soon learned that she has stage 2B, triple-negative, grade 2–3 breast cancer, as well as a BRCA2 gene mutation. Within just a few weeks, she had undergone a breast MRI and echocardiogram, met with multiple specialists, had a PET scan and port placement, and prepared to begin chemotherapy.
For someone as active, strong, and full of energy as Marcie, everything changed in an instant. But Marcie has never been one to back down from a challenge.
She has always believed in showing up for others. In fact, Marcie previously participated in the IRON GRIL in honor of Zach and the Zaching Against Cancer Foundation. She showed up to support our mission and the cancer community when someone else needed strength.
Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
Marcie’s Tribe is coming together to run in the Zaching Running Festival, turning miles into meaningful support for cancer patients and families while standing beside Marcie through her own cancer journey.
And there is something especially powerful about this race for Marcie: it will take place just about one month after her surgery. That is the kind of strength we are talking about.
This team isn’t running because this journey is easy. We’re running because Marcie is strong, because her Tribe is strong, and because no one should have to face cancer alone.
Every dollar raised through Marcie’s Tribe helps the Zaching Against Cancer Foundation provide direct support to cancer patients and their families—help with the little things that can become overwhelming during treatment, from transportation and groceries to household expenses and other critical needs.
We ran for Zach. Now we run for Marcie. We run for every cancer patient who needs to know they are not alone.
Together, we will ZACH. 💪❤️
